One of our most popular activities, renting a complimentary bike for the day will help you to discover the natural and cultural treasures of Hua Hin up close. Start your day with a ride along the coast before venturing further afield to enjoy lofty coastal views with a leisurely mountain trip to take in temples, intriguing local sites and smiles from local villagers.

Golf

With its constant warm weather, Thailand has become one of the world’s premier destinations for year-round golf. Hua Hin’s proximity to Bangkok has made it one of the country’s premier golfing retreats, with courses designed by Jack Nicklaus and Roger Packard. Many lie just a stone’s throw from Anantara Hua Hin.

Night Market

Take a stroll through Hua Hin’s famous night market to scout out gifts for friends back home. A large number of local handicraft practitioners gather each evening to sell their wares to both locals and tourists, along with a wealth of food vendours doling out intriguing local delicacies.

Maruekhathaiyawan Palace

Maruekhathaiyawan Palace

This summer seaside palace was built using golden teak in the early 1920s during the reign of King Rama VI. Designed by an Italian architect, three buildings are supported by more than 1,000 pillars and feature verandas, latticework and covered boardwalks, as well as a beautiful passage leading to the sea.

The name Phra Nakhon Khiri translates as Holy City Hill, but locals know it better as Khao Wang, meaning Hill with a Palace. The park comprises three groups of buildings, located on the three peaks of the 92-metre high hill. On the western peak is the palace with adjoining structures. The central peak features the large chedi Phra That Chom Phet. The eastern peak houses the royal temple Wat Phra Kaeo, which was built in a similar style to Wat Phra Kaeo in Bangkok. The entire complex was constructed as a summer palace by King Mongkut and completed in 1860. The site was registered as a historical park in 1979, with two of the palace buildings now housing a branch of the Thai National Museum.
